Col Prem Prakash, SM (Retd)
Col Prem Prakash, SM (Retd) served 34 years in the Army before superannuating in 2016.
He has served over 10 years as HoI; first as Commandant RIMC, Dehradun (2004-08) and then as Principal, Radiant International School, Patna (2016-22). He served as Group Director at CSKM Public School, New Delhi from 01 Apr 2022 to 31 Mar 2025.
He is a trained Interviewing Officer and experienced Career Counsellor. RIMC, Dehradun was awarded the Computer Literacy Award and earned great repute in sending a large number of cadets to NDA during his tenure.
Masters at RIMC have been awarded commendation cards by the Chief of Army Staff during his tenure as Commandant. He had the opportunity to set up Leadership and Self Development Centre and Youth Employment Guidance Node in Kashmir Valley during his stint there.
The officer also had the distinction of leading two Youth Exchange Programmes to Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He made a visit to the University of California (Riverside Campus) for an International Study Programme during study leave.
As Principal, Radiant International School, Patna for six years, he moved the school within the top 10 schools of Bihar. At CSKM, he organised the first Military History Seminar and Career Carnival.
He has been certified as a Resource Person with CBSE. Colonel Prem Prakash believes in modern pedagogy which hones holistic personality. He has faith in empowering minds of youth to unleash brilliance, upgrade faculty through constant training, use parents as force multipliers, and create core creative competence within the institution.
He is also a Certified Soft Skills and Facilitative Trainer and engages in Image Management as well. He believes in elevating experiences and providing the impression of increase.
Col Prem Prakash carried the Presidential Colours during NDA Passing out Parade and was awarded 'Best in Drill' Medal; summited Mt Kamet during IMA Golden Jubilee Expedition and received the Sena Medal as the youngest Indian Army Officer.
He was part of the First Army Everest Expedition and reached 26,000 ft along the SW Face and received a memento at the hands of President Shankar Dayal Sharma.
